Plantronics/Poly B825-M Voyager Focus (no desk charge cradle)
The Plantronics/Poly Voyager Focus is the latest in Plantronics/Poly headsets, Designed to work with Bluetooth enabled Smart phones, PC and tablets. Because it works with Bluetooth enabled devices if your desk phone has Bluetooth it will also pair to this to give you a headset for every device in the office (but please note, it won't work with most desk phones).
The Plantronics B825-M is Skype certified so ideal for business on the move.
With on demand Active Noise Cancelling you can choose when to activate it, giving you the freedom and control over your office environment. Bear in mind though that the ear cushions do not encompass your whole ear so the noise cancelling for you as the user won't be anything like a headset such as the Sennheiser MB 660. We did a few tests in the office and while it can lessen constant background noises such as air-con and electronic hums quite well, we weren't that impressed with the noise cancelling for voices. That's just one office, not exactly a scientific test but our experience. Do check out reviews for more info.
Sound quality is great. The dual wearing style and superior wideband sound quality make every call sound great no matter what device you are using. The Focus has a nice bass balance for music
Designed for comfort the Voyager Focus has large leatherette ear cushions and a unique 'hammock' pressure reducing style headband for all day wear without pinching or any discomfort. Its not a supertight fit though, so if you rock out at you desk or are very mobile, looking under desks etc for things you'll need to be a bit careful.
Please note this version of the Voyager Focus does not include the desk top charging stand. The headset is instead charged via a USB cable. This makes it super portable and indeed it comes with a well padded zip up pouch.
